Information we collect by automated means
When you interact with our Sites, we obtain certain information by automated means, such as through cookies, web server logs, web beacons, and other technologies. Our Commitment to Your Privacy
This Privacy Notice applies to the information that Vista Equity Partners (“Vista”) may collect from you when you register for and attend Vista meetings, conferences or events (“Events”).
Information We Collect
In connection with your registration for an Event, we may collect your [legal name, preferred name, address, email address, telephone number, travel preferences, credit card information, employer and assistant information, and information related to other special requests/accommodations].
We also may collect information regarding your dietary requirements, and information that relates to your health (such as information relating to disabilities).
When you attend an Event, we may collect your image and/or audio if the Event is being photographed or recorded, but we will inform you in advance of the Event if we intend to do so. When you attend an event, we may also collect location data.
Please do not provide personal information that you do not want us to have. However, some of the information we collect is necessary for you to register for and attend an Event, and if you do not provide that information you may not be able to attend. We indicate any information that is required when you register for an Event with an asterisk, and this generally includes your first name, last name, title, employer name, mobile number, email address, and emergency contact information.
How We Use the Information We Collect
When you provide information to us for Event registration and attendance purposes, the information is used to register you to attend the Event and to facilitate your attendance at the Event. In addition, we will use the information to send you relevant event invitations, agendas, newsletters and other related materials and, if applicable, to accommodate any special requests you may have made.
If we photograph or record an Event and your image and/or audio is captured, such image and/or audio may be used on Vista’s websites, social media pages, and in other promotional material.
We process personal information relating to your health when it is necessary for us to (i) protect the health and safety of Vista staff and other Event attendees (e.g., in a medical emergency), or (ii) to make reasonable accommodations for you, such as with regard to dietary requirements or access.
We also may use the information in other ways for which we provide specific notice at the time of collection.
How We Share the Personal Information We Collect
We may share your personal information with affiliates of Vista for the purposes described in this Notice.
We may share personal information with service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as event management vendors, IT storage and support, marketing, and security vendors.
We may also share your personal information with other third parties that provide services to us related to the Event, such as event management vendors, sponsors, venues, hotels, accommodations, and travel providers.
In addition, we may disclose personal information about you (a) if we are required or permitted to do so by law or legal process, for example due to a court order or a request from a law enforcement agency, (b) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss, (c) in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual fraudulent or other illegal activity, or (d) in connection with (i) the making, management or disposition of any of our investments or (ii) business continuity, or (e) in connection with a prospective or actual sale, merger, transfer or other reorganization of all or parts of our business or assets (including in the event of a merger, acquisition, joint venture, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or liquidation).
Data Transfers
We may hold Events inside or outside the U.S., including in the European Economic Area (“EEA”) or the UK. Typically, you provide your information to us directly in order to register for or otherwise participate in an Event, but in limited circumstances, it may be Vista’s service providers that collect your information and send it to Vista in the U.S. (the location of Vista’s primary offices/global headquarters) for processing. We comply with applicable legal requirements providing adequate protection for transfers of personal information when we receive your information outside of the US. If you are located in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland and we transfer your personal information to recipients in countries outside of the EEA, UK and Switzerland, your personal information will be transferred only if:
- The country to which the personal information will be transferred has been recognized as providing an adequate level of protection for personal information under applicable EU, UK and Swiss law; or
- Appropriate safeguards in respect of the transfer, e.g., the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, have been put in place.

Personal Data We Collect
We collect and use personal data about Applicants, including information which is provided by you to us or one of our affiliates, and information about you that we collect from third parties or generate ourselves. This includes the following:
- Personal details and characteristics, including your name, alias, contact information (address, telephone number, and email), date of birth, passport number and country of issuance, nationality, place of birth, veteran status, national ID numbers (including, for example, UK national insurance number, U.S. Social Security number), unique personal identifiers including online identifiers, historical compensation details, previous employment details, and information received in connection with pre-employment screening and background checks and references which are provided by you to us, your former employers, recruitment agents, and/or third party background screening providers.
- Information contained in your CV, including occupational details, current job title, current job description, previous employment details, current salary, and education details.
- Other information that is generated by us during the recruitment process, including commentary and evaluation of your qualifications and interviews, responses given in the context of psychometric and aptitude testing and inferences about your preferences, characteristics, psychological trends, predispositions, behavior, attitudes, intelligence, abilities and aptitudes drawn from that testing, and any other information you choose to provide such as through communications with us.
- Communications information such as the contents of any electronic communications with Vista including messaging platforms, and online activity data.
- Sensitive or special category personal data, including health or medical information, diversity-related personal data (such as gender, race or ethnicity or sexual orientation), and information relating to criminal background checks.
You are required to provide certain personal data to Vista so that we may consider your application in light of our business needs, and so that we may comply with our legal and regulatory obligations; and, if your application is successful, so that we can enter into an employment contract with you. If you fail to provide any personal data that we request, we may be unable to continue evaluating your application, comply with our legal and regulatory obligations or, ultimately, offer you employment.
How We Use Your Personal Data
We use the personal data that we collect, subject to applicable law, including for the following purposes:
- Recruitment: managing and administering the recruitment process, communicating with Applicants and retaining records of those communications, performing background checks, conducting due diligence, determining suitability for employment, determining physical and/or mental fitness for work, carrying out psychometric and aptitude tests, accommodating a disability or illness, reviewing and evaluating applications, making travel arrangements, making offers to successful Applicants, maintaining records of applicants to assess suitability for other roles at Vista or its portfolio companies and contacting applicants in respect of such roles, determining compensation levels (including salary and other forms of compensation), providing and communicating with references, reimbursing expenses, securing immigration status, reviewing hiring decisions, providing access to facilities, and for onboarding purposes. We process personal data for these purposes on the basis that it is necessary for our legitimate interests in managing and administering our business and recruiting staff. In some cases, we may also be obligated to do certain of these activities by law or regulation and/or pursuant to pre-contractual/contractual obligations.
- Legal and compliance: compliance with legal, regulatory, and other requirements such as immigration, record-keeping, tax and reporting obligations, reviewing HR processes, responding to legal process such as subpoenas and court orders, pursuing legal rights and remedies, defending litigation and managing any internal complaints or claims, conducting audits and investigations (including auditing compliance), ensuring that Applicants meet any applicable regulatory standards for their prospective role, managing and resolving health and safety matters, complying with requests from government or other public authorities, and complying with internal policies and procedures. We process personal data for these purposes on the basis that we are required to do so by law or to discharge our regulatory obligations, or it is necessary for us to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
- Communications, facilities and emergencies: facilitating communications with you, protecting the health and safety of anyone visiting our premises or otherwise protecting the health and safety of our personnel and others, and safeguarding office equipment, facilities, and other property. We process personal data for these purposes on the basis that it is necessary for our legitimate interests in managing and administering our business, business continuity, detecting or preventing theft or fraud, or attempted theft or fraud, and otherwise administering, maintaining, and ensuring the security of our IT systems and premises.
- Operations and management: operating and managing our IT, communications systems and facilities, and monitoring the use of these resources, performing data analytics, internal research, improving our services, allocating and managing company assets and human resources, strategic planning, project management, compiling audit trails and other reporting tools, maintaining records relating to business activities, budgeting, and financial management, managing mergers, acquisitions, sales, reorganizations or dispositions and integration with business partners.
- Performing services: performing services including maintaining or servicing accounts, processing or fulfilling orders and transactions, verifying Applicants’ information, processing payments, providing analytics services, providing storage, providing advertising and marketing services, or providing similar services.
- Special category personal data: We process health or medical information for accessibility and ‘fit for work’ purposes and diversity-related personal data (such as gender, race, or ethnicity or sexual orientation) for diversity monitoring and related purposes. We do not process your special category personal data unless we are required or permitted to do so by applicable law or regulations, or you have, in accordance with applicable law, provided your explicit consent to the collection and processing of your special category personal data.
Data Sharing
We may share your personal data our affiliates and portfolio companies for the purposes described in this Notice, and subject to the “Data Transfers” section below.
We may share personal data with service providers that perform services on our behalf such as recruitment services providers, background check providers, business communications archiving providers, data analytics providers and hosting providers. In accordance with applicable law, we enter into legally binding agreements with our service providers requiring them to use or disclose personal data only as necessary to perform services on our behalf for the purposes described in this Notice, or to comply with applicable legal or regulatory requirements. We may also share personal data with professional services organizations, such as auditors and law firms, in connection with the recruitment process.
In addition, we may disclose personal data about you (a) if we are required or permitted to do so (i) by law or legal process, for example due to a court order or a request from a law enforcement agency or (ii) to establish, exercise, or defend our legal rights, or (iii) by our regulator(s) or any applicable regulations, (b) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss, (c) in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual fraudulent or other illegal activity, or (d) in connection with (i) fundraising, (ii) the making, management, or disposition of any of our investments, or (iii) business continuity purposes.
Data Transfers
